The Marketplace at Augusta on Saturday will host its Back to School Block Party, an afternoon of entertainment, including store events, food, activities, live performances, and sales and promotions, according to a news release from WS Development, a retail development firm.
The event will begin at noon and continue until 5 p.m., with special deals throughout the day.
The Back to School Block Party will showcase attractions throughout the shopping center, including face painting at Children’s Place and Old Navy, mini-massages and Christopher and Banks and Eddie Bauer, live musical entertainment at the Elevation Burger patio and Famous Footwear, costumed superheroes, and free photos and gifts. Other activities include a science fair, skateboard and martial arts demonstrations, roller derby and bicycle helmet giveaways, courtesy of the Augusta Police Department.
