Team Hallowell/2016 Dempsey Challenge will hold its first pasta dinner beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Belgrade Center for All Seasons.
A live auction will begin at 6 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the door.
The Dempsey Challenge, presented by Amgen, is a run, walk and cycle fundraising experience for The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing in Lewiston.
The 2016 Dempsey Challenge will take place on Oct. 1-2.
One-hundred percent of funds raised by Dempsey Challenge participants directly benefits the Dempsey Center, allowing to provide free support, education and integrative medicine services to anyone impacted by cancer.
Comprised of various cycling distances (10, 25, 50, 70 and 100 miles), and a 5K (3.1 mile) and 10K (6.2 mile) run/walk, participants 18 and older are required to raise $150 (and encouraged to raise even more) as they prepare for The Dempsey Challenge.
More than just a fundraising event, the Dempsey Challenge also includes a free, family-friendly Festival in the Park, Kids’ Fun Run and Survivor Walk.
