RAPID CITY, S.D. – A JetBlue flight was diverted to western South Dakota after turbulence left more than 20 passengers and crew members injured.

JetBlue spokeswoman Katherine McMillan told The Boston Globe that flight 429 was traveling from Boston to Sacramento, California, on Thursday when it was diverted to Rapid City, South Dakota, where it landed around 7:30 p.m.

South Dakota news outlets report that 22 passengers and two crew members were taken to a local hospital but were all treated for minor injuries and released.

McMillan says care team members were being sent to assist injured customers and a replacement aircraft was on its way.
