All politicians at some time during a campaign will say or do something stupid. In a liberal media environment, most of the time dumb things a liberal politician does will be minimized or not reported and the dumb things that conservative politicians say will be twisted or exaggerated.

Case in point, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. The media piles on Trump and lays off of Clinton. Then calculating politicians pile on to promote their own image. Sen. Roger Katz, R-Augusta, who recently penned an anti-Trump column, is one of them.

Liberals like Katz are artful in demonizing conservatives. In the op-ed Katz tried to discourage Trump’s supporters from speaking out by suggesting Trump has empowered them “to come out of the woodwork and spew their own dark vision of America.” While Katz spews his venom, let us recall one of Katz’s darker moments. On Oct. 13, 2012, Katz imposed a campaign event on a cancer fundraiser. At the Walk for Hope for cancer survivors, Katz showed up with campaign buttons and passed them around.

Katz contended Trump is unfit to be president but is silent about Clinton. It has been reported Clinton lied to the parents of Tyrone Woods and Sean Smith about how they were killed at Benghazi. Clinton supports the Iranian nuclear deal, which some belive could eventually allow Iran to build nuclear bombs. Clinton gave multiple accounts to the public about the unsecured server kept in her home while she was secretary of state. The FBI director said Clinton was “extremely careless.” Now emails emerge from Clinton’s server about the Clinton Foundation and pay-for-play, but the media barely reports on it.

While Trump has said things, what Clinton has done has hurt our country. It is Clinton who is unfit to be president.
