AUGUSTA — The Sexual Assault Crisis and Support Center will host its 17th annual Celebrity Dinner from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Augusta Civic Center.
This year’s theme is “The OSCARS” — A Night of Glamour and Gratitude! Organizers anticipate as many as 300 guests and local celebrities at the fundraiser in support of the survivors assisted every day.
All proceeds of the event will benefit the Sexual Assault Crisis & Support Center and its services for survivors of sexual abuse.
The event is sponsored by Bronze Universe, Key Bank, MaineGeneral Health, and Tex Tech Industries Inc.
Tickets cost $40 per person, $75 per couple, or $280 for a table of eight.

A fully staffed and highly trained Sexual Assault Support-line available 24 hours daily, support groups, advocacy, school-based prevention education, and Children’s Advocacy Center are all provided free of charge to the Kennebec and Somerset counties’ communities.
