The Downeast Brass Quintet, five Maine musicians and music educators, will perform from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, at the upcoming Bands for Books event at Marianmade Farm, 155 federal St., in Wiscasset.
Proceeds will benefit the Wiscasset Public Library. Dancing is encouraged and guests can request music of their choosing.
The Little Village Bistro in Wiscasset will provide a cash bar and will donate heavy hors d’oeuvres. Small tables will be set up on the lawns outside the barn where guests can sit and enjoy the food and drink.
Tickets cost $25 per person and can be purchased at the Wiscasset Library, 21 High St., in Wiscasset, or from committee members: Wendy Ross, Judy Flanagan, Michelle Peele, Jenn Spaur, Linda Winterberg, Sally Gemmill and Kate Curran. Tickets also will be available at the event.
