The picture on the front of the paper speaks volumes about society (“Local Pokémon Go players offended by Hallowell sign calling them morons,” Aug. 24). It is disheartening and alarming at the same time.
I couldn’t decide which was more offensive: the use of “moron” on a sign someone felt they needed to put up to enjoy their property, or the person that blatantly stood in front of that sign which in my opinion said “screw off” to the person who put up the sign.
How can we learn to live peacefully within the melting pot of America if we no longer can be civil in our own communities?
