DAMARISCOTTA — A fall Smart Driver seminar is set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Spectrum Generations Coastal Community Center, 521 Main St.

The AARP Driver Safety Program is a driver refresher course designed to meet the needs of older drivers. It covers age-related physical changes, declining perceptual skills, local driving problems, license renewal requirements, and more.

AARP Driver Safety volunteer instructor is Joyce Polyniak.

Class size is limited to the first 15 community members (50 and older) who register. Cost is $20, however, the tuition for AARP members with cards is $15.

Participants who successfully complete the course are eligible for a reduction in automobile insurance premiums. A half-hour brown bag lunch break is scheduled.
