AUGUSTA — The Farmers’ Market at Mill Park will host a healthy eating event from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13.

The event will include samples and recipes for making simple and delicious meals with seasonal produce and other local foods. Healthy Communities of the Capitol Area will provide information on eating right and staying healthy, and local farmers will have the fresh produce.

Participants can learn more about the Harvest Bucks Program, which helps low-income Mainers stretch their SNAP/EBT dollars and support local foods.

The Farmers’ Market is open from 2 to 6 p.m. every Tuesday through the week of Thanksgiving, at 1 Water St.
