WASINGTON — The Gibbs Library will host an exhibit of mixed media work of Washington artist Lois Hill. The exhibit will be on view through Tuesday, Nov. 1.

A artist’s reception is planned for 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at the Gibbs. The public is invited.

This is a show about fall. In Lois’ words, “September and October are such golden, gorgeous months. There is glory and harvest, new directions, winds of change and goodbyes. For this show I’ve chosen a mix of old and new works, a mix of styles, and a mix of mediums (pastel, colored pencil and prints.) The overall effect is colorful and diverse. I see it as a swirl of visual poems reflecting the feel of autumn,”according to a news release from the library.

Library hours are 2-5 p.m. Sundays, 4-7 p.m. Mondays, 9 a.m.-noon and 4-7 p.m. Tuesdays, 3-6 p.m. Thursdays, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays.
