DAMARISCOTTA — Refuse To Be A Victim Safety and Crime Prevention Seminar will be held 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Lincoln County Rifle Club, 431 Main St.

The program teaches the tips and techniques needed to be alerted to dangerous situations and to avoid becoming a target.

Situational awareness, mental preparedness, home security, and psychology of criminals are a few of the topics that will be covered in a dynamic, supportive atmosphere, taught by Victoria Hamilton of Wiscasset, a certified instructor.

The program was developed by the women of the National Rifle Association in 1993 in response to nation-wide requests for crime prevention and personal safety information.
