NEWPORT — Four different Tigers scored goals as the Gardiner boys soccer team kept its Class B North postseason hopes alive with a 4-1 win over Nokomis in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference game on Friday.

Jake Folsom, Cam Bell, Casey Bourque and Nick Pooler all scored for Gardiner (5-7-1). Connor McGuire made three saves in goal.

Nokomis (3-10-0) got its only goal from Alex Baird on a penalty kick.

MESSALONSKEE 5, MT. BLUE 2: James Kouletsis scored four goals and Jack Moore added another as the the Eagles won the KVAC A contest.

Sam Smith and Tristan McFarlane scored for Mt. Blue

Chase Warren had four saves for the Eagles (7-4-2) while Tucker Carleton had three saves for the Cougars (2-8-3).

FIELD HOCKEY

WINTHROP 3, OAK HILL 2 (OT): Moriah Hajduk scored the game-winning goal with 6:29 left off an assist from Emily Molino as the Ramblers prevailed in the Mountain Valley Conference title game at Thomas College.

Bri McClure and Sarah Spahr also scored for Winthrop.

Zoe Buteau and Maegan Sheehy scored for Oak Hill.

Mackenzie Thibeault had 10 saves for the Raiders while Corinna Colton had eight for the Ramblers.

ERSKINE 8, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Haymenot Maynard and Kayla Hubbard each scored twice to lift the Eagles to the KVAC B win in South China.

Faith Krause, Abby Haskell, Lauren Wood and Lydia Boucher each added a goal for Erskine (9-2-2). Caitlin Labbe made one save.

Calley Baker stopped 18 shots for the Phoenix (2-11-0).

MESSALONSKEE 6, MT. BLUE 0: Three different players scored two goals each to lead a balanced attack and lift the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

McKenna Brodeur, Lydia Bradfield and Amelia Bradfield each scored twice for Messalonskee (7-5-1). Hannah DelGuidice made six saves.

Addie Schanz stopped 21 shots for the Cougars (3-9-1).

HALL-DALE 2, CARRABEC 0: Madisyn Smith and Addie Davis each scored in the first half and the Bulldogs held on from there en route to the Mountain Valley Conference victory in Farmingdale.

Davis also had an assist.

Maggie Gross had 15 saves for Hall-Dale (6-7-1) while Kasey Creamer had six for the Cobras (3-8-3).

MARANACOOK 4, LINCOLN 1: Lauren Clough had a hat trick to pace the Black Bears to a KVAC B win on their senior night.

Ally Phair had the other goal for Maranacook (5-6-2). With the win the Black Bears moved into the 10th spot in Class B South. Skyeler Webb made 17 saves.

Alison York scored for Lincoln (5-5-3) and Christine Hilton made 11 saves.

BANGOR 7, SKOWHEGAN 0: Grace Morris and Luci Clein each scored two goals to power the Rams in a KVAC A game in Skowhegan.

Eliza Jansujwicz, Katie Butler and Sara Dumas also scored for Bangor (15-0-0) while Maddie Hodgdon had four saves.

Skowhegan dropped to 3-10-0.

OCEANSIDE 3, MOUNT VIEW 1: Gabrielle Straka, Lindsey Brooks and Abby Veilleux each scored a goal to lift the Mariners to the KVAC B win in Thorndike. Rachel Joyce made four saves for Oceanside.

Halle Reynolds scored off an assist from Taylor Hodgdon for the Mustangs.

Shala Davis made four saves in the Mount View goal.
