HOLDERNESS, N.H. – New Hampshire Fish and Game officers have made two rescues on the Mount Morgan and Mount Percival loop over the weekend.
WMUR-TV reports that conservation officers received a call for an injured 15-year-old hiker on Sunday. The girl had hurt her ankle and was unable to continue from Mount Morgan to Mount Percival.
She was placed in a litter and carried for two and a half miles. She later arrived at the trailhead on Mount Percival.
Authorities say the friends of 25-year-old Kevin Amaral, of Somerville, Massachusetts, called for help after Amaral began having difficulty walking on Friday. Amaral was eventually able to walk with the assistance of rescuers.
