A Connecticut man was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after his pickup truck veered off Interstate 95 in Pittsfield, flipped over several times and crashed into a ditch, police said.
Roger Look, 64, of Meriden, Connecticut, the only person in the Chevrolet Silverado, had to be extricated from the truck by emergency responders, according to a news release from Steve McCausland, spokesman for Maine State Police.
Look was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for treatment of injuries described as serious but not life-threatening, McCausland said.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes at mile 146, reducing traffic to one lane for about an hour on the highway. Police said no criminal charges were expected.
