WAYNE — A classical and contemporary music concert is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at Wayne Community Church. Many selections will be played on the churches grand piano.
Performers will include renowned pianists Bridget Convey, Mark Johnston and Ed Larsen; vocalists Michelle Chick, Paul Bright and Mike Ladd with guitar; flutist Kathryn Woodsum. Organists Marjorie Emery and Christina Misner Rao will perform selections played on the tracker organ.
Dr. and Mrs. James McKendry of Manchester gifted the grand piano to the church. Built in Boston in the early 20th century by well-known musician and builder of some of the finest concert pianos, the Henry Miller & Sons piano will be dedicated at the concert.
