Hall-Dale High School’s National Honor Society in Farmingdale will host its Third annual Turkey Trot, a 5K race or walk, starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Vaughn Park in Hallowell.

The funds raised from this event will go towards helping various events that the young leaders of the community will run this year.

Admission is $20 via reservations through an NHS member before Nov. 18 or $25 on the day of the event. Reservations can also be made by emailing the NHS advisor at cgifford@kidsrsu.org.

The National Honor Society is a national organization designed to recognize excellence in high school students. Members are selected based on leadership, character, service, and scholarship. Students who are accepted are challenged to give back to their community through service while improving their character and proving themselves to be leaders of tomorrow.
