Signs posted in downtown storefronts Friday morning urged Portlanders to resist hate and fear.

The signs reading, “Resist Hate; Assist Love” and “Love Will Win,” appeared hours before the inauguration of Donald Trump as president, and echoed the messages in signs carried in local anti-Trump protests during the campaign and posted anonymously around downtown after the presidential election in November.
