SOUTH CHINA — Noah Bonsant scored 15 points to lead the Erskine boys basketball team to a 62-55 win over Gardiner in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A matchup Thursday.

Andrew Browne scored 13 points, while Jack Jowett added 10 points for the Eagles (7-6).

Connor McGuire led the Tigers (7-6) with 16 points. Isaiah Magee added 12 points.

GIRLS HOCKEY

WINSLOW/GARDINER 11, MT. ARARAT 3: Anna Chadwick registered a hat trick and Julia Nadeau had a goal and three assists as the Black Tigers won for the fifth time in their last six games.

Kate Larson added two goals, while Sarah Stevens had a goal and two assists for Winslow/Gardiner (10-6-0), which played all 20 players on the roster in the win, including backup goalie Jenna Rodrique, who got her first taste of varsity game action this season.

Mt. Ararat fell to 0-16-0.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

TEMPLE 34, VALLEY 24: Kiara Carr led the Bereans with 17 points as they beat the Cavaliers in Waterville.

Veronica Rossignol added eight points for Temple (12-2).

Hallie Miller led Valley (3-10).

MONMOUTH 69, CARRABEC 24: Tia Day scored 12 points and Emily Grandahl added 10 as the Mustangs prevailed in a Mountain Valley Conference game in Monmouth.

Julia Johnson scored eight points for the Mustangs (13-2) as well.

Maddie Hughes scored nine points to lead the Cobras (2-12).

BOYS BASKETBALL

WINSLOW 81, BELFAST 66: Spencer Miranda scored 26 points to lead the Black Raiders in Belfast.

Jack Morneault scored 16 points, while Keanu Earle added 14. Dylan Hutchinson chipped in with 10 points.

Vane Bielenberg led Belfast (6-7) with 22 points.
