AUGUSTA — Tom Dubois, of Salem, served as Pastor of the Day on Jan. 17, delivering the opening prayer in the Maine State Senate, according to a news release from the State House.
Dubois, pastor at Western Mountains Baptist Church in New Portland, has led the congregation since April of 2007.
“It was an honor to meet Pastor Dubois today, and to have him open our day in prayer,” said Sen. Rod Whittemore, District 3, according to the release.
While the congregation is located in District 3, Dubois is a constituent of Sen. Tom Saviello, District 17.
“It was great to have the opportunity to meet with Pastor Dubois in Augusta. He is a longtime friend and a cherished member of the community,” said Saviello, according to the release.
