RICHMOND — Zach Small scored a game-high 31 points to lead Richmond past Gould 67-55 in a boys basketball game Saturday.

Cody Tribbet added 20 points for Richmond (15-1) while Matt Holt chipped in eight.

Gould (13-3) was led by Tyresse Collins with 23 points and Gage Barton with 18.

MCI 56, ERSKINE 47: Jose Montes scored 14 points to lead the Huskies to a win in South China.

Owen Williams added eight points for MCI (5-11).

Braden Soule led Erskine (8-8) with 17 points. Noah Bonsant chipped in with 12 points.

GARDINER 64, SKOWHEGAN 63: Hunter Chasse and Cole Heaberlin each scored 18 points as the Tigers held off the Indians for the KVAC A win in Gardiner.

Skowhegan (8-8) started the fourth quarter down by 11 before Gardiner (10-6) was able to pull out the win.

Isaiah Magee added 16 points for the Tigers. The Indians were led by Cole Pierce and Garrett McSweeney with 17 points apiece and Cam Barnes with 15.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

MCI 54, ERSKINE 21: Ciera Hamlin scored 16 points to lead the Huskies to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win in Pittsfield.

Dee Urena added 12 points for MCI, while April McAlpine scored 10 for the Huskies.

MESSALONSKEE 75, CONY 29: Sophie Holmes had 12 points, 10 rebounds and three assists to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Ally Turner added 14 points for Messalonskee (16-0) while McKenna Brodeur chipped in 13 and Gabrielle Wener 11.

Cony (0-16) was led by Sydney Avery with 10 points.

SKOWHEGAN 42, GARDINER 40: Annie Cooke scored 16 points, while Mariah Dunbar added 12 points to lead the Indians to a win in Gardiner.

Sydney Reed added six points for Skowhegan (12-4).

Lauren Chadwick and Aimee Adams each scored 11 points for Gardiner (10-7).
