HALLOWELL — A Second Sunday Wire Sculpture workshop is set for 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at Harlow Gallery, 160 Water St. The workshop will be conducted by Don and Eileen Kerr.

At the completion of the session each participant can bring home a wire figure, which they will have made, and could be mounted on a base.

The Kerrs are practicing artists with many years of experience working with children and adults. Participants can explore some basic methods of working in this versatile material. All experience levels welcome.

This event, for ages 10 and older, uses simple tools and wire. The wire provided is thin gauge plastic coated wire which is easily worked with fingers and only a few tools will be needed, also provided. Participants can bring their own components to share and discover how they may be incorporated.

The Harlow Gallery’s Education Committee organizes and hosts Second Sundays, its monthly series of free community art-making events which is lead by volunteer presenters and is sponsored by its hometown bank, Camden National Bank.

Donations and sponsors to support gallery programs such as Second Sundays are welcome.
