BREWER — Hunter Mercier scored 15 points, one of three Bulldogs to finish in double figures, as Lawrence earned a hard-fought 55-49 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A girls basketball win over Brewer on Friday night.

Molly Folsom added 12 points and Morgan Boudreau 11 for Lawrence (11-6).

Cassidy Smith scored 15 to pace Brewer (5-12).

MT. ABRAM 42, CARRABEC 39: Lindsay Huff poured in 18 points to lead the Roadrunners to the Mountain Valley Conference win in North Anson.

Summer Ross and Meg Sorel eached chipped in nine points for Mt. Abram (10-8).

Bailey Dunphy’s 11 points paced Carrabec (3-15).

WINSLOW 42, MORSE 30: Ciara LeClair scored 13 points and Heather Kervin had a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds) as the Black Raiders rolled in Bath.

Paige Trask hit three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points for Winslow (16-2).

Sierra Wallace scored 10 points to lead Morse (5-13).

MESSALONSKEE 55, WATERVILLE 32: Sophie Holmes scored 16 points to lead the Eagles to a victory over the Purple Panthers in Waterville.

Ally Turner scored 10 points, while Gabrielle Wener added nine points for Messalonskee (18-0).

Jordan Jabar led Waterville (9-9) with 15 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

WINSLOW 59, MORSE 44: Dylan Hutchinson scored 15 points to lead the Black Raiders to a win over the Shipbuilders in Winslow.

Keanu Earle scored 11 points and had four assists, while Jack Morneault scored 10 points and had eight rebounds for Winslow (14-4).

Thomas Warren led Morse (4-15) with 16 points.

MESSALONSKEE 74, WATERVILLE 37: Nate Violette scored 21 points and added seven rebound and three steals to lead the Eagles to the KVAC win in Oakland.

James Kouletsis had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds for Messalonskee (13-5), while Griffin Tuttle added 10 points.

David Barre and Jack Lloyd each scored eight points for Waterville (1-17).

BREWER 56, LAWRENCE 44: Brandon Gillden scored 14 points as the Witches pulled away in the second half to the KVAC win in Brewer.

Kobe Rogerson added 11 points for Brewer (7-10).

Mason Cooper led Lawrence (3-14) with 17 points, while Brandon Hill finished with 15.

UNIFIED BASKETBALL

WATERVILLE 74, MESSALONSKEE 72: Nick Belanger scored 26 points to lead the Purple Panthers to the win in Waterville.

Hayden St. Amad and Joseph Libby-Cornett each added 12 points for Waterville (3-1).

Shawn McIntyre scored a team-high 22 points for Messalonskee (1-1).
