BUXTON — The 10th annual Maine Greenhouse Best Practices workshop is set for 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at the Snell Family Farm, 1000 River Road.

The host site is a family farm that grew into a diversified business with eight greenhouses and extra hoophouses, incorporating a year-round farm store, pick-your-own and community supported agriculture, in addition to traditional greenhouse plant sales.

The workshop will include a tour of the greenhouses, with presentations on greenhouse enterprise planning and management, attracting pollinators, research updates and a growers’ panel.

Event sponsors are University of Maine Cooperative Extension and Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.

Cost is $25, lunch included. Registration is required by March 17, to register, visit extension.umaine.edu.
