WILTON — The Wilson Lake Ice Out contest has begun. Residents can take a chance on when the ice will go out. The winner will receive a $100 cash prize, according to a news release from Wilton Fish & Game Association member Bruce Dyke.

The ice is considered out on Wilson Lake when a boat can go from the boat launch to the big island without touching ice.

Tickets are available at Steve’s Market in Dryden, Law Mountain Bakery in Wilton, Robin’s Bait Shop in Jay or put your name, contact number, with the month, day, hour and minute the ice will go out and a $5 entry fee in an envelope and mail it to Bruce Dyke, P.O. Box 605, Wilton, ME 04294.

All entries must be received by April 1. Proceeds will benefit The Wilton Fish & Game Association.
