AUGUSTA — The Maine Adult Education Association will hold its annual Statehouse Day from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 16, in the Hall of Flags.

The event provide adult education programs in Maine an opportunity to visit their legislators. Program representatives will have informational table displays in the Hall of Flags. Several programs will bring groups of adult learners to visit sessions of the House and Senate, tour the Statehouse, and visit the Maine State Museum.

A program that will highlight the many ways adult education programs have enhanced the lives of participants will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Hall of Flags. Speakers will include Acting Commissioner of Education Robert G. Hasson Jr., state director of Adult Education Gail Senese, MAEA President Nancy Allen, and students from area adult education programs
