JACKMAN — The Forest Hills School Leadership Team will host a Community Gathering from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Forest Hills Gym and Commons.

The goals of the day are to provide an opportunity to learn more about the community groups in town and how one can get involved as well as to get input on what community members want to see from their community, their town governments and from the school.

Community group booths will be open from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m., individuals can receive a ticket for each booth they visit.

The tickets will be added to a to a drawing that will take place at 11:45 a.m. Prizes include 100 gallons of oil, four or five $25 gift certificates, a maple sugar gift basket and a sports boosters season pass.

Those who fill out a brief, three-question survey can enjoy a free roast pork luncheon at 11:45 a.m.

The school’s Children’s Stage Adventure production of “The Elves and the Shoemaker” will be staged following the luncheon.

The event will be held in partnership with Somerset Public Health, Redington-Fairview General Hospital, Maine Health Access Foundation and Maine Community Foundation.
