An Auburn woman is facing multiple drug charges after the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says she was selling cocaine and heroin from a Lewiston motel room.

Jacinta Hunt, 27, was arrested in room 207 at the Motel 6 in Lewiston. MDEA agents acted on information from a Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office investigator and surveilled the Motel 6 with the help of the Lewiston Police Department.

In the hotel room, the agents seized 17 grams of crack cocaine and 48 grams of heroin. The combined street value of those drugs is greater than $11,000.

Hunt was out on bail on an unrelated charge. She is prohibited from possessing a firearm because she is a convicted felon, but agents say they found several guns in Hunt’s vehicle.

Hunt was charged Thursday with aggravated trafficking in heroin and five counts of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs – two for cocaine base and three for heroin. She was also charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and a violation of a condition of her release.

She was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn, where she is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. She made an initial appearance in Lewiston District Court on Friday.
