AUGUSTA — The Maine Legislature recently honored the Hall-Dale Grades five and six girls basketball team with a Legislative Sentiment for winning the Kennebec Valley Grades 5 and 6 Championship. The team finished the season with a 17-5 record and only lost one regular season game, despite playing a sixth-grade schedule with only two sixth graders on the team.

“The Hall-Dale Grades 5 and 6 Girls Basketball champions showed remarkable teamwork and determination, and I was thrilled to welcome them at the State House to be recognized,” said Sen. Shenna Bellows, D-Manchester, in a news release from the Senate Democratic Office.

Team members include Amanda Trepanier, Emma Sirois, Hayden Madore, Ashlynn Donahue, Aubrey Gilbert, Grace Perry, Jenna Lee, Kadence Greenhalgh and Zoe Soule, manager Davis Madore and coaches Ryan Madore, Jamie Madore, Joey Gilbert and Alisa Bonefant.

A Legislative Sentiment is a significant expression by the Legislature in recognition of civic and public achievements.
