The fifth annual MAD @ Cancer Ride for Life will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at the Skowhegan Eagles Club, Water St., Skowhegan. Registration will begin at 9 a.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Each year riders are recruited for an approximate 100-mile motorcycle ride with stops along the way. At the midpoint stop, there will be a moment of silence to reflect on those fighting a battle with cancer, those lost to cancer, as well as celebrate/honor those who survived.

A meal will follow the ride. The meal is free for participants and can be purchased by others. There also will be raffle tickets available for purchase.

A suggested minimum donation is $20, riders will receive a T-shirt and a ticket for the meal. For a $50 donation, the name of a loved one can be added to the ride T-shirt.

The ride will be in honor of Lori Frost who lost her battle to breast cancer this year.
