AUGUSTA — Senior midfielder Nate Foye’s goal in overtime lifted the Cony boys’ lacrosse team to a 6-5 win over Maranacook/Winthrop in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game on Thursday.

Foye finished with two goals for Cony (7-3), while Chad Bickford scored three times to add to his team-leading total. Cam Gallant made 28 saves to earn the win in the cage.

Drew Davis had three goals for Maranacook/Winthrop (5-6), while Alex Nuce and Tucker Nussinow also scored.

WINSLOW 12, MT. BLUE 7: Bryce Hillier scored seven goals to lead the Black Raiders to a KVAC B win over the Cougars in Farmington.

Sam Lambrecht scored three goals, while Isaac Lambrecht added two goals for Winslow (5-6).

Sam Smith scored three goals for Mt. Blue (1-10).

BASEBALL

MESSALONSKEE 4, CAMDEN HILLS 0: Josh Joy tossed a three-hit shutout and struck out 10 batters to lead the Eagles to a KVAC A win over the Windjammers in Camden.

Noah Tuttle had a triple and a single for Messalonskee (6-9), while Colby Dexter had a single and an RBI.

Camden Hills falls to 5-9.

MT. ARARAT 2, SKOWHEGAN 1: Garrett Booty went seven innings to earn the win on the mound for the Eagles in a KVAC A win in Skowhegan.

Mt. Ararat improves to 7-7.

Skowhegan falls to 5-10.

RICHMOND 7, VALLEY 2: Zach Small came a home run short of the cycle and drove in three runs to lead the Bobcats to the win in Bingham.

Matt Rines worked four innings on the mound to earn the win for Richmond (13-1), allowing two runs on four hits with two strikeouts. Brendan Emmons added a double in the victory.

For Valley (1-9), Dillon Beane had an RBI double, while Joey Thomas had a single and drove in a run.

SOFTBALL

SKOWHEGAN 4, MT. ARARAT 3, 8 inn.: Ashley Alward struck out 13 batters to lead the Indians to a KVAC A win over the Eagles in Skowhegan.

Alyssa Everett plated Julia Steeves with a two-out base hit in the eighth inning to give Skowhegan (13-2) the win.

Kylee Temple had a triple for Mt. Ararat (9-6).

CARRABEC 10, LISBON 2: Mackenzie Baker had a double, three singles and six RBIs to lead the Cobras to a Mountain Valley Conference win over the Greyhounds in Lisbon.

Bailey Dunphy had a triple and two singles, while Sam LeBeau added three singles for Carrabec (10-5).

Alyssa Hall and Jasmine Le each had doubles for Lisbon (10-5).

GIRLS LACROSSE

BOOTHBAY 10, ERSKINE 3: Sydney Meader scored three goals, one of three Seahhawks with multi-goal days, in the KVAC B win in South China.

Kate Friant and Lincoln Hamblett each scored twice for Boothbay (8-2), which got a 15-save performance from Page Brown.

Hayley Hinds scored twice for Erskine (4-6), and Audrey Jordan also scored. Ashlyn Wing made 13 saves.
