The Arts Institute of Western Maine will sponsor a Maine Mountain Chamber Music concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 2, in Nordica Auditorium at the University of Maine at Farmington.

The concert will feature John Boden, recently retired Principal Horn of the Portland Symphony Orchestra, and the PSO Concertmaster, violinist Charles Dimmick.

They will be joined by Maine Mountain Chamber Music co-directors Laurie Kennedy, viola, and Yuri Funahashi, piano. The program will include works by Rossini, Mozart, Stravinsky and Brahms.

Boden will open the program with an unaccompanied horn call by Rossini. Then Charles Dimmick and Laurie Kennedy join forces for Mozart’s Duo in G Major.

Dimmick and Funahashi will complete the first half of the concert with Igor Stravinsky’s Suite italienne. The Brahms trio will provide a rousing conclusion to the celebration.

Cost is $12 or free for those 18 and younger and for students with ID. For more information, call 778-5074.
