WALES — Junior Dean Jackman pitched five strong innings and also contributed a pair of hits and as many RBIs as the Hall-Dale baseball team edged Lisbon 5-3 to win the Mountain Valley Conference championship Friday afternoon at Oak Hill High School.
Jackman allowed just four hits and struck out a pair for the Bulldogs.
Akira Warren had three singles and Austin Stebbins added a pair of hits for Hall-Dale.
Jackman produced a two-run single in the third inning for the Bulldogs, who will enter the C South playoffs as the No. 3 seed.
Hall-Dale will host No. 6 Monmouth in a regional quarterfinal Thursday at 3 p.m.
