FARMINGTON — Healthy Community Coalition recently announced its upcoming schedule of June’s Mobile Health Unit events. A variety of free health screenings and education will be offered at each event including blood pressure, cholesterol, colon cancer screening (FIT screening) and body composition analysis.

Thursday, June 1: 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Edmunds Market in Phillips; and 2:30-5:30 p.m. IGA in Rangeley.

Friday, June 2: 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Fotter’s Market in Stratton; and 2:30-5:30 p.m. Tranten’s Market in Kingfield.

Wednesday, June 7: 1-4 p.m. Food City in Livermore Falls.

Wednesday, June 14: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Save-A-Lot in Farmington; and 2-5 p.m. Food City in Wilton.

Tuesday, June 20: 1-4 p.m. Wal-Mart in Farmington.

Thursday, June 22: 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Senior Resource Fair in Wilton.

Staff also will be available to offer assistance with mammography and annual physical exam scheduling as well as assistance with programming to help cover these costs. Other assistance offered will include free tobacco recovery support, cancer prevention, nutrition and physical activity resources, activities for youth, and Affordable Care Act enrollment assistance.

All services are provided free because of funding from the John T. Gorman Foundation and the United Way of the Tri Valley Area. Special breast health services are available through funding from the Avon Breast Health Outreach Program.
