MT. VERNON — The annual bird walk will begin at 4 p.m. Monday, June 19, at Dr. Shaw Memorial Library, 344 Pond Road.

Along with lead birder Dona Seegers, participants can watch for song birds, water birds, birds of prey, whatever is flying, perched in a tree, or gliding on water.

Bring a pair of binoculars if you have them, a notebook and pen if you want to record what you see, wear comfortable shoes, long sleeves and a hat to help protect against black flies.

The walk typically takes about an hour.
