The Friends of Wayne will host “Favorite Places ~ Water Views … Homes of Wayne Tour” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9; rain or shine.
The tour will showcase a variety of historic and contemporary homes and camps nestled between Pocasset Lake and Lake Androscoggin. The tour will offer an inside peek into historic family camps, charming older homes, beautiful newer homes, fall gardens, architectural landmarks and more.
Complimentary refreshments, a boutique and a classic wooden boat display by Androscoggin Wooden Boatworks will be offered at the 106-year-old Androscoggin Yacht Club. An Art Show and Sale “Traveling Brushes” will be showcased at the Williams House. Lunch will be available for purchase.
The tour is sponsored by: Longfellow’s Greenhouses in Manchester, Pat Ladd/Homestead Realty, Kennebec Savings Bank and Stephanie Haines, and many local community businesses and friends.
Tickets cost $25 in advance or $28 the day of the event.
Proceeds will benefit the Cary Memorial Library and the Wayne Community Church.
