DAMARISCOTTA — The Chapman-Hall House Stewardship Committee seeks volunteers for the historic site.

The house, dated to 1754, is the oldest house still in existence in Damariscotta, according to a news release from the committee. Some volunteers are docents and conduct tours, others do research and help with special programs.

Events planned this summer include a blacksmithing demonstration on June 24, Summer with the Past children’s week June 26-30, Children’s Weekend July 1 and 2, and The Beautiful Sounds — R. P. Hale in Concert is set for July 16.
