A Portland man has been sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison for possessing child pornography.

Glenn Strout, 54, will also serve 10 years of supervised release under the sentence imposed Tuesday by U.S. District Court Judge Jon D. Levy in Portland.

Strout pleaded guilty in December.

According to authorities, law enforcement agents investigating child pornography in November were able to remotely download child pornography from a computer in Strout’s home. The agents then obtained a warrant to search Strout’s home and during the warrant’s execution, Strout admitted to agents that he downloaded child pornography. An analysis of electronic devices seized under the warrant also revealed still images and video files of child pornography.
