AUGUSTA — The Farmers’ Market at Mill Park will celebrate its annual Kids Fest at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, with activities and fun for all. Children can take part in a scavenger hunt, jump in a bounce house, eat some popcorn, and get their face painted.

There also will be a storybook reading by a Lithgow librarian, Debbie Barnett with UMaine Cooperative Extension will do a craft, and Martin Swinger will be the musician.

A local ambulance also will be onsite for the kids to tour, and possibly a fire truck as well.

Those who attend can feast on the best of what Maine farms have to offer, including fresh vegetables and seasonal fruit, milk and yogurt, cheese, meat, preserves, honey, bread and pastries, flowers, spices and herbs, and all-natural bodycare products.

Don’t forget, on this Tuesday, as every Tuesday, people can double their EBT dollars on fruits and vegetables. Go to www.maineharvestbucks.org for more information.

The Farmers’ Market at Mill Park runs from 2 to 6 p.m. every Tuesday May through November, under the pavilion at 1 Water St., in Augusta.
