A fire that apparently started in the attic of a mixed-use building on Tandberg Trail was brought under control nearly an hour after it started in Windham Thursday morning.

A dispatcher said the fire was reported at 114 Tandberg Trail at about 7:30 a.m. He said it was declared under control around 8:15 a.m.

Fire Chief Brent Libby said the building had an office and two apartments and they were unoccupied at the time of the fire.

The dispatcher said officials believe the fire started in the attic of the building.

Libby said the cause wasn’t determined Thursday, but it’s believed the fire was accidental.
