WINSLOW — The Red Knights Maine Chapter 13 held a “Ride to End Hunger in Maine” on July 31. The 100-mile ride started at Fort Halifax Park in Winslow and ended at The Red Barn in Augusta. Each rider made a donation to participate. The Red Knights Maine Chapter 13 presented the proceeds of the ride, a $400 donation, to the Winslow Community Federal Credit Union’s Ending Hunger Campaign.

Winslow Community Federal Credit Union supports different organizations throughout the year including the Ending Hunger Campaign, Maine Children’s Home for Little Wanderers Christmas Program, the Maine Children’s Cancer Program and the Maine Special Olympics.

The Red Knights is an International Firefighters Motorcycle Club with Chapters all over the world. The Maine Chapter 13 is a local chapter within its community. Since its inception, the Red Knights club has supported local and national charities.

Winslow Community Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit organization that exists to serve its members and community. Like banks, Winslow Community FCU accepts deposits, makes loans and provides a wide selection of other financial services. But since it is member-owned, it operates to promote the well-being of its members.
