The Gov. Kavanagh Knights of Columbus Council 1423, of North Whitefield, will host its annual charity golf tournament Saturday, Sept. 9, at Sheepscot Links in Whitefield. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m., a shotgun start is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The $65 entry fee per golfer includes 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, lunch and 50/50 drawing. Foursomes are welcome to join this event.
Prizes will be awarded for first- and second-low gross, first- and second-low net, longest drive and closes to pin on par 3s.
Special prizes added this year will include the following:
Round One:
• Hole in One on #2 — 2017 Jeep Compass;
• Hole in One on #8 — A four-day/three-night stay at French Lick Resort in French Lick, Indiana.
Round Two:
• Hole in One on #2 — Travis Mathew Signature Outfit, plus $500;
• Hole in One on #8 — A four-day/three-night stay at French Lick Resort in French Lick, Indiana.
Hole sponsorships cost $80. The council is accepting donations of gift certificates or other items for the raffle. Donations help defray expenses for golf carts and lunches.
Over the past several years the tournament has raised and distributed thousands of dollars which were used to help local charities and members of the community in need.
