The Governor Hill Mansion was the setting on Aug. 12 for Cony High School’s class of 1967 50th class reunion. The theme was Seniors to Seniors: Come celebrate the Journey!

Committee members were: Beth Bond and Suzanne McCausland Colvin, co-chairs, Norm Rodrigue, Susan McKowen O’Connor, Luanne Drago Pachios, Carol Coates Foreman, Jim Whitten, Roger Katz, John Murphy, Margaret Baird, Roland Maheux, David Hastings, and Bob Bernstein.

Father John (Ray) Fortin performed the invocation for the buffet dinner and Anna Beth Packard, professional soloist, lead the group in the Cony Fight song. Floral arrangements were created by Nancy Gray Voisine and Susan Benner Partridge. Pianist for the cocktail hours was Bob Baird.

The Saturday event was preceded by a golf tournament and happy hour at the Augusta Country Club arranged by Dave Hastings. Steve Friedlander organized a bike ride on Sunday morning on the Rail Trail from Augusta to Gardiner. The cyclists were joined by several walkers for lunch in Hallowell.

A 50/50 raffle was held at the reunion, it raised $1,300. The winner was Lucille Gotreau Mills. The class will make a donation to the Cony Alumni Association for the goal of fixing the clock on the front of the Cony flatiron building.

102 Classmates and 65 guests attended.
