RICHMOND — Abby Johnson banged home the rebound of a Caitlin Kendrick shot with just over four minutes remaining in overtime, lifting Richmond High School to a 1-0 season-opening girls soccer win on Saturday.
Sydney Tilton made one save to earn the shutout for the Bobcats (1-0-0).
Sydney Royce was busier at the other end, recording 12 saves for Rangeley (0-1).
BOYS SOCCER
RICHMOND 4, RANGELEY 0: Nate Kendrick scored two goals to lead the Bobcats to a season-opening win over the Lakers in Richmond.
Andrew Vachon and Matt Rines added goals for Richmond (1-0). Nick Adams, Justin Vachon and Dan Stewart added assists. Zach Small made two saves to earn the shutout.
Hunter Lowell had 12 saves for Rangeley (0-1).
