WALDOBORO — Simon McCormick scored 16 points and had six steals to lead the Cony boys basketball team to a 62-53 win over Medomak Valley in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Tuesday night.

Ian Bowers earned a double-double by scoring 11 points and pulling down 11 rebounds for the Rams (5-4). Amahde Carter scored nine points and had 10 rebounds, while Jordan Roddy added 10 points for Cony.

Alec Coughlin led the Panthers (4-4) with 10 points.

MARANACOOK 75, LEAVITT 51: Jarred Schmidt scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Black Bears to the win.

Skyler Boucher added 12 points for Maranacook (7-1) while Mitch Root chipped in 11 and Bryan Riley 10.

Leavitt (4-4) was led by Wyatt Hathaway with 18 points.

HAMPDEN 77, MESSALONSKEE 54: Ian McIntyre scored 23 points and Corey Winch added 21 as the Broncos rolled to the KVAC A victory in Oakland.

Bryce Lausier scored 18 points for Hampden (9-1) as well.

Tucker Charles scored 21 points to pace the Eagles (4-4).

GIRLS BASKETBALL 

GARDINER 41, ERSKINE 34: Aimee Adams scored 14 points to lead the Tigers to the KVAC A win in South China.

Leslie Stevens added 12 points for Gardiner (6-2), which held Erskine scoreless in the fourth quarter.

The Eagles (1-7) were led by Jordan Linscott with 11 points and Bailey Cloutier with 10.

RICHMOND 56, DIRIGO 29: Sydney Tilton scoed a game-high 24 points to lead the Bobcats to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Dixfield.

Ashley Abbott added 11 points for Richmond (6-4).

Ashley Perreault and Page Lueders each scored six points for Dirigo (0-9).

HAMPDEN 43, MESSALONSKEE 34: Ally Turner scored 12 points for the Eagles, but it wasn’t enough to put the Broncos away in a KVAC A game in Hampden.

Gabrielle Wener scored eight points, while Emily Parent added seven points for Messalonskee (5-3).

Bailey Donovan led Hampden (7-1) with 12 points.

MONMOUTH 80, TELSTAR 17: Tia Day had 16 points and 12 assists to lead the host Mustangs to the MVC win.

Abbey Allen added 13 points for Monmouth (8-1) while Hannah Anderson chipped in with 11 points. Destiny Clough hauled in eight rebounds.

Telstar (0-9) was led by Luci Ruthwell with 11 points.

BOOTHBAY REGION 67, HALL-DALE 32: Catrina Kincaid scored seven point for the Bulldogs in an MVC loss in Boothbay.

Grace Begin scored six points, while Olivia Bourque added five points for Hall-Dale (2-7).

Page Brown led Boothbay (9-0) with 18 points.

KENTS HILL 30, HYDE 19: Tiffany McGhie scored 14 points to lead the Huskies over the Wolfpack in Bath.

Lauren Murray hit two 3-pointers on her way to eight points for Kents Hill, which improved to 4-1.

Maeve Dunn scored seven points for Hyde (1-3), while Madison Hughes scored six.
