Men’s basketball: Aaron Hall scores 27 points as the Monks get their third win in the last four games.

STANDISH — Aaron Hall scored 27 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as St. Joseph’s posted a 69-62 win over Johnson & Wales in men’s basketball Tuesday night.

Hall scored 16 of his 27 points in the first half, and shot 13 of 16 from the field for the Monks (7-6, 2-2 GNAC). St. Joe’s has won three of its last four games.

Randal Ferdinand scored 17 and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (6-6, 3-1).

EASTERN NAZARENE 128, UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 102: Josh Rice scored 30 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had five assists to lead the Lions (5-7, 1-4 CCC) over the Nor’easters (4-8, 2-3) in Quincy, Massachusetts. Gavin Dibble scored 14 points for UNE.

BOWDOIN 81, UM-PRESQUE ISLE 62: David Reynolds scored a game-high 22 points, Jack Simonds added 16 and the Polar Bears (10-3) jumped to a 43-25 halftime lead en route to a win over the Owls (7-7) in Presque Isle.

Hugh O’Neil had eight points and 13 rebounds for Bowdoin, which went on a 15-2 run midway through the first half to take a 28-15 lead.

Deandre Duncombe scored 14 points for the Owls. Jahvion Lockridge added 13 off the bench.


COLBY-SAWYER 65, BATES 55: Emmani Robinson scored 23 points and Tianna Sugars added 14 points and 15 rebounds as the Chargers (8-3) pulled away early to defeat the Bobcats (5-10) at New London, New Hampshire.

Nina Davenport had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Melanie Binkhorst scored 19 points to lead Bates.

Lexie Hamilton added 10 points for Colby-Sawyer.

BOWDOIN 82, NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE 38: Lydia Caputi hit a 3-pointer with 7:42 to play in the first quarter to spark a 19-0 run as the Polar Bears (14-0) opened a 26-8 lead after one quarter to dominate play early and cruise by the host Pilgrims (6-4) in a nonconference game in Henniker, New Hampshire.

Reserve Maddie Hasson had 12 points and six rebounds to pace a balanced attack for Bowdoin.

Corina Moore and Jada Black each had seven points for New England College.

MAINE MARITIME 67, COLBY 59: Alayne Felix scored a game-high 31 points and added five assists, and Mikayla Charters had 13 points and eight rebounds as the Mariners (6-5) defeated the Mules (6-6) at Castine.

Colby’s Emily Davis scored eight points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 79, EASTERN NAZARENE 59: Jocelyn Chaput had nine of her 12 points in the second quarter to pace a 25-3 run to close the half as the Nor’easters (9-2, 5-0 Commonwealth Coast) took a 42-22 halftime and eased by the Lions (7-5, 1-4) at Quincy, Massachusetts.

Olivia Shaw led the way for UNE with 13 points.


AMHERST 4, SOUTHERN MAINE 0: Katelyn Pantera scored 11:59 into the first from Katie Savage and Laura Schmidlein, and the Mammoths (6-5-1) cruised to a win over the Huskies (4-11) in Amherst.

Amherst led 2-0 after the first.

Britney Evangelista made a career-high 58 saves for the Huskies, who were outshot 62-14.

COLBY 1, UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 0: Tess Dupre scored the winning goal 3:19 into the third period as the Mules (4-5-2) held on to beat the Nor’easters (5-5-5) in a nonconference game at Waterville.

Caty Flagg had 46 saves for the Nor’easters.


UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 4, BOWDOIN 1: Chris Jones scored the go-ahead goal 2:55 into the third from Tyler Seltenreich and Ryan Bloom as the No. 14 Nor’easters (11-3-2) beat the Polar Bears (4-9) in a nonconference game in Biddeford.

The Nor’easters added to their lead on third-period goals from Jeff Eppright and Christian Rossetti.

Thomas Dunleavy scored for Bowdoin to tie the game late in the second period.
