NEWPORT — Gabby Lord scored 16 points and was one of two players in double figures as the Nokomis girls basketball team beat Bangor 45-36 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference crossover game Monday.

Chelsea Crockett added 15 points for the Class A Warriors (7-6). Maci Leali finished with six.

Class AA Bangor (2-10) got a 14-point effort from Libby Fleming.

BOYS BASKETBALL

GOULD 67, TEMPLE 44: Tristin Chamberlain’s 20 points led Gould to the Class D South win.

Chamberlain hit four 3-pointers for Gould (9-2), while Ernest Lorange had 17, Alex Shoureas had 12 and Malakai Brimage had 10 for the visitors.

Ilija Ivkovic led Temple (6-7) with 16 points, while Nathaniel Wiles had 10.

HYDE 71, KENTS HILL 61: Tim Adetuyole scored 15 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Huskies in a loss to the Wolfpack in Kents Hill.

Darius Hinds and Latrell Bryant each scored 13 points for Kents Hill (8-7). Hinds also had eight rebounds.

Hyde improves to 12-0.
