MADISON — The Mt. Abram girls basketball team came up big in the fourth quarter, overcoming a two-point deficit for a 57-51 win over Madison in a Mountain Valley Conference game Monday night.

Lindsay Huff and Megan Sorel each finished with 18 points for the Roadrunners (8-7), while Summer Ross added 14.

Sydney LeBlanc led all scorers with 19 for Madison (12-3), which led 38-36 after three quarters despite trailing at halftime. Lauren Hay added 11 points and 10 rebounds.

TEMPLE 44, HIGHVIEW CHRISTIAN 26: Selam Heinrich scored 11 points and Deleyni Carr added nine as the Bereans rolled.

Megan McDonald scored a team-high 10 points for Highview.

GARDINER 44, CONY 29: Bailey Poore scored 12 points and Aimee Adams added 11 as the Tigers held off the Rams at the Augusta Civic Center.

Cari Hopkins scored 16 points and Sarah Caron added 13 for Cony, which led 20-16 at the half.

WINSLOW 57, BELFAST 29: Haley Ward scored 12 points, one of three Black Raiders in double figures, in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win in Belfast.

Weslee Littlefield and Paige Trask each added 11 points for Winslow (11-3).

Grace Fitzgerald scored 10 points to lead Belfast.

LAWRENCE 65, MEDOMAK 53: Camryn Caldwell scored 16 points, including three 3-pointers, and Keagan Alley had 15 points and four assists as the Bulldogs won the KVAC A game in Fairfield.

Molly Folsom added 12 points and six rebounds for Lawrence (9-5).

Gabby DePatsy led Medomak (9-5) with 21 points. Sadie Cohen finished with 16.

BOOTHBAY 59, WINTHROP 22: Paige Brown score a game-high 24 points and Faith Blethen added 20 as Boothbay (15-0) rolled to the MVC win in Winthrop.

Kena Souza scored six points to pace Winthrop (7-9).

BOYS BASKETBALL

ERSKINE 56, LINCOLN 49: Braden Soule netted 14 of his team-high 21 points in the fourth quarter alone to help carry the Eagles to the KVAC win in South China. Jack Jowett added 17 points, including 14 in the second half, for Erskine (5-10).

Keyden Leeman led Lincoln (1-14) with 21 points. Nathan Simmons finished with 10.

MEDOMAK 44, LAWRENCE 41: Josh Goldrup scored a game-high 22 points and Alec Coughlin added eight as the Panthers took the KVAC A victory.

Gavin Herrin and Kobe Nadeau each scored 12 points to lead Lawrence (5-9).

TEMPLE ACADEMY 56, HIGHVIEW CHRISTIAN 39: Micah Riportella scored 12 points to lead the Bereans to a Class D South win over the Knights in Charleston.

Ilija Ivkovic scored 11 points, while Nikola Kekic added eight for Temple (7-8).

David Stanley led Highview (2-13) with 16 points.

OAK HILL 52, MARANACOOK 40: Kourtney Gauthier scored a team-high 14 points to lead the Raiders in Readfield.

Tommy Grayson had a double-double for Oak Hill (1-0) with 10 points and 17 rebounds. Marcel Trepanier finished with eight points and nine assists.

Ben Perkins of Maranacook (0-1) scored a game-high 18 points. Brandon Norton added 14 points and 10 rebounds.

MORSE 53, HALL-DALE/RICHMOND 48: Zoe Walker scored 14 points to lead the Shipbuilders to their first win of the season in Bath.

Keegan Companion had 12 points, while Isaac Smith added 11 for Morse (1-1).

Emma Chase scored 18 points for Hall-Dale/Richmond (0-2). Matt Perry added 16 for the Bulldogs.
