Second Vice District Governor Tia Knapp recently attended a meeting of the Manchester Lions Club to present the club and some of its members awards.
For the club years 2016-17, the club received the Lions Legacy Project by partnering with a local Boy Scout to sponsor a bus shelter that was placed at the Town Office and elementary school area for Maranacook Middle and High school students.
The Centennial Service Challenge was presented to the club for fulfilling projects in four specific areas: Vision, Environment, Feeding the Hungry and Youth.
Three individuals in the club received Chevron Awards, which recognize Lions for their long-term service beginning at 10 years and continues in five-year increments. Those who received awards included Lions Andy Morse, 15 years; Past District Governor Michelle Crocker, 20 years; and Brian Sylvester, 45 years.
