WATERVILLE — Mackenzie St. Pierre and Sadie Garling each scored 12 points to lead the No. 7 Waterville girls basketball team past No. 10 Ellsworth 47-34 in a Class B North prelim game Tuesday night.
Maddy Martin also had a big night, finishing with 10 points, seven rebounds and six blocks.
St. Pierre also grabbed eight rebounds for Waterville (14-5), which will play a regional quarterfinal against No. 2 John Bapst on Friday in Bangor.
Katelyn Bagley scored 15 points to lead Ellsworth (10-9).
