HALLOWELL — Harlow Gallery will present Young at Art, the 15th annual exhibition of children’s artwork, at 100 Water St. The exhibit will be on view March 7-24, with a public reception scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10.

During this exhibition students from kindergarten through grade 8 will have their work on display in the professional setting of the gallery.

The exhibit will coincide with PLAY, a juried group exhibition of artwork inspired by children’s artwork, which will be on view in the upstairs gallery March 7-24, with an opening reception scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 9.

Each year the gallery invites art teachers from elementary and middle schools from throughout the greater Augusta area to select their best student art to showcase in this community celebration of talented art students and of the importance of arts in education.

2018 marks the second year that the gallery is integrating homeschool student artwork in the exhibit.

Because of the high volume of visitors for the opening reception, the gallery asks that participating artists and their families attend according to the following schedule: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., grades kindergarten through grade 2; 12:30-2 p.m., grades 3-5; and 2-3:30 p.m., grades 6-8.
